Convenience
Calibre, Convenience & Cost Effective
Kenyan employers can enjoy substantial cost savings when compared with employing staff by conventional means. This is because when undergraduates and master students across Kenya are required to work in business as an essential element of their courses, they are classed as trainees, not employees. This simple fact means that many Kenyan employment rules do not apply, allowing you a greater degree of flexibility. For example, the allowances paid to placement undergraduates are totally negotiable to as little as about a quarter or less of a full-time Kenyan salary for a comparable employee.
With their enthusiasm and commitment, they can fulfill a variety of significant roles from General Assistants through to Junior Managerial positions. In addition, the students' language skills can often help Kenyan companies to develop Kenyan export markets. All they ask in return is that they receive a modest but reasonable monthly training allowance to help them with the cost of accommodation and subsistence. The students' main motivation is to gain experience and fulfill course requirements, not make money.
Candidates are usually aged between 20 and 26 and are typically studying for a Degree or Masters in Business, IT, Engineering, Languages, and many other courses at top Universities, Colleges and private Business Schools throughout Kenya and Diaspora. All our students speak good English, and most students already have valuable work experience and professional skills.
A typical placement lasts 6 months. This is ideal for project work.
Permanent positions are readily catered for too, with our simple Rolling Programme: as an undergraduate nears the end of a placement, a successor is appointed. The outgoing student then trains his replacement for maximum continuity and performance, with minimal disruption or management input. The overlap period can be of any duration you deem appropriate.
We have large database of undergraduates using our service to find placements at any given time. Our service is free to them, ensuring a large supply of high caliber students. This enables us to select the perfect candidates for your requirements. (Other placement agencies charge the students a fee: this can severely restrict applicants to those that are wealthy and/or desperate! - in either case not necessarily the best candidates for you) With Attacho, you can rest assured that we have access to the largest pool of undergraduate talent in the whole of Kenya. We advertise your position on our own website (nowehere else), and invite applications from our own huge audience. We don't trawl through online jobsite databases.
Of course a service such as this cannot be free.Attacho is however offering it for free now but might charges the placement provider a reasonable fee in the future. Please call or email.
